Collegiate Nats in Mad Town Two Weeks Away

May 6, 2004

We're two weeks away from an awesome weekend of National Championship racing! Come to Madison on Friday, May 21, hang out with Greg LeMond, Jonathan Vaughters, and watch the top collegiate teams duke it out on State Street at the TIAA-CREF Criterium. Join the festival that is the 2004 Trek Bikes Collegiate National Championships presented by TIAA-CREF.

Saturday everyone is encouraged to watch the riders suffer up the Sutcliffe Climb outside Black Earth, WI at the Q-Doba Road Race and watch an exciting sprint finish on Main St. in Black Earth. The entire town is shut down for the day--this is as European as racing gets in Wisconsin. 18 percent grade power climbs, tight city circuits, and an entire village watching the Nation's best.

Sunday sees the Team Time Trial in Waterloo. Riders will depart from the TREK factory at 8 am to take on a challenging 30k TTT course. Afterwards will be an awesome post-race party thanks to Trek Bikes and Q-Doba. Greg LeMond and Jonathan Vaughters will be there sharing their "war" stories from racing in Europe, answering questions, signing autographs, and enjoying the way Wisconsin does bike races.

Volunteers are still encouraged to help out, and sponsorship opportunities still exist! Visit www.woollymammothpromotions.com for more information!
