$1,100 was awarded to the finalists of the nation’s most lucrative Kieren race. A spectator favorite, the kieren is a six-lap race which is paced in increasing speeds by motorbike until the last lap when the racers are set free to sprint at remarkably high speeds. No one could match the top-end speed of Matt Fox - Hayes Brake. Already considered one of this countries premier track sprinters, Fox adds yet another gem to his impressive palmares. Junior racer David Engwis gave a glimpse of his abundant potential with a strong second.
