Rob Springer (Hayes Brake) bested the field in the Elite Points Race, securing his victory with two sprints remaining. His success left five others to fight it out for second place in a very closely contested battle. In the end, John Tomlinson's (XXX Athletico) early points were enough to hold off his hard charging rivals Nick Holbus (Beans & Barley) and Brent Emery (Velo Trocedero).
Winning three races, Category 4 rider Nathan Longley (Beans & Barley) joined double race winners Rob Springer and John Tomlinson as the stars of the evening. In addition to Tomlinson’s two Junior category victories, he scored impressive seconds in the three Senior events he entered.
Next Tuesday will mark the final night of Washington Park Velodrome ATRA races for 2007.
