WCA Kenosha Velodrome Cup Series Guidelines

I. Eligibility and Awards

    a. Points will be awarded to any rider who signs an American Track Racing Association rider release form. There is NO separation by state.
    b. Club points will be awarded to clubs who are members in good standing of the Wisconsin Cycling Association.
    c. No points will be awarded for the State Championship event.
    d. There will be three places recognized in each class/category.

  • Junior 15-18 Boys
  • Junior 15-18 Girls
  • A Cat. 4 wins Cat. 4 Velodrome Cup Points in a Cat. 4 race.
  • A Cat. 4 wins Cat. 3 Velodrome Cup Points in a Cat. 3 and 4 race.
  • A Cat. 3 wins Cat. 3 Velodrome Cup Points in a Cat. 3 race and a Cat. 3 and 4 race.
  • A Cat. 3 wins Cat. 1, 2 Velodrome Cup Points in a Cat. 1, 2, and 3 race.
A. Velodrome Cup Points will be awarded to the first 5 eligible finishers.
B. Velodrome Cup Points will apply only in the class/category in which the were earned
C. Velodrome Cup Points will be awarded in the following classes/categories only:

D. Competitors in races which do not fall into one of the above classes, will not be awarded points.

E. Velodrome Cup Points category determination is based on the highest category in that event. Examples:

F. When separate races are not offered for the masters age classes, those classes will be tabulated separately for Velodrome Cup points.

G. Juniors (boys and girls) shall each be scored according to their racing age, regardless of the prize list divisions of an event. A Junior who races more than one Junior race at any given event will score points in his/her own age class, and in the youngest age class of the additional race.

III. Individual Points Scoring

    a. 1st = 7 points
    b. 2nd = 5 points
    c. 3rd = 3 points
    d. 4th = 2 points
    e. 5th = 1 point
    f. If at the end of the year riders are tied for an overall place, the tie shall be broken according to the omnium rules in the USAC rulebook.

IV. Club Points Scoring

    a. Club points shall be totaled for each club based on their registered riders’ places in the overall results of the Velodrome Cup.
    b. Points will be awarded to the top 5 in each track category.
    c. Unattached riders who join clubs prior to Aug 1 may have points earned prior to that date added to their new club’s total.
    d. Riders who change from one club to another can not transfer their points to the new club.
