I. Eligibility and Awards
A. Points will be awarded only to riders who possess a current annual USAC license with a Wisconsin address.
B. Club points will be awarded only to those clubs that are members in good standing of the Wisconsin Cycling Association and USA Cycling.
C. Wisconsin Cup points will be awarded for road events: Road Races, Criteriums, Individual Time Trials
D. There will be no points for Team Time Trials or State Championships.
E. Points will only be awarded in events that are placed on the WCA calendar by December 1 of the previous year.
F. There will be three places recognized in each class/category.
II. Race Organizer Requirements
A. The promoting organization shall be a member of the WCA.
B. The event organizer will obtain a race permit from USA
Cycling.
C. All USA Cycling/USAC rules will govern said races. D. The race announcement must state “Wisconsin Cup Series Race” and contain the Wisconsin Cup logo.
E. The race announcement must be distributed to all WCA clubs and/or published so that each club receives notice of the race at least 30 days prior to the event. The notice must conform to all guidelines of USAC (Standard Race Announcement)
F. Race organizers will pay the WCA surcharge on the last day of their events. The total number of entrants will determine the WCA surcharge in the event. The WCA surcharge will be $1.00 per rider per event entered, with a $150 minimum for criteriums and road races to help offset the cost of photofinish, which WCA subsidizes for every member club. G. The race organizer must supply sufficient volunteers to run a safe and well-ordered event.
III. Competitor Considerations
A. Wisconsin Cup Points will be awarded to the first ten eligible finishers.
B. Wisconsin Cup Points will apply only in the class/category in which they were earned
C. Wisconsin Cup Points will be awarded in the following classes/categories only:

Category 4
Women 1,2
Women Category 3
Masters Women 45+ Category 4
Women Category 4
Masters 35+ Category 1,2,3
Masters 45+ Category 1,2,3
Masters 55+ Category 1,2,3
Masters 35+ Category 4,5

D. Competitors in races which do not fall into one of the above classes, will not be awarded points.
E. Wisconsin Cup Points category determination is based on the highest category in that event.
Examples:
A Cat. 4 wins Cat. 4 Wisconsin Cup Points in a Cat. 4 race.
A Cat. 4 wins Cat. 3 Wisconsin Cup Points in a Cat. 3 and 4 race.
A Cat. 3 wins Cat. 3 Wisconsin Cup Points in a Cat. 3 race and a Cat. 3 and 4 race.
A Cat. 3 wins Cat. 1, 2 Wisconsin Cup Points in a Cat. 1, 2, and 3 race.
F. When separate races are not offered for the masters age classes, those classes will be tabulated separately for Wisconsin Cup points.
G. Juniors (boys and girls) shall each be scored according to their racing age, regardless of the prize list divisions of an event. A Junior who races more than one Junior race at any given event will score points in his/her own age class, and in the youngest age class of the additional race.

If at the end of the year riders are tied for an overall place, the tie shall be broken according to the omnium rules in the USAC rulebook.
V. Club Points
A. Club points shall be totaled for each club based on their registered riders’ places in the overall results of the Wisconsin Cup.
B. Points will be awarded to the top ten in each Road category.
C. Unattached riders who join clubs prior to June 1 may have points earned prior to that date added to their new club’s total.
D. Riders who change from one club to another can not transfer their points to the new club.
